Holy Angels Catholic Church
Faith Formation: Youth
Through youth faith formation, we empower young people to live as loving disciples of Jesus Christ in our world today. Additional opportunities are shared in the church bulletin, as they become available.
parish school of religion
Our Parish School of Religion (PSR) is for students in grades 1-8 who attend public, non-Catholic private, and home schools. This program uses a family based approach to religious education. It includes classroom instruction for children, separate adult sessions for the parents, "family days" where children and parents/guardians stay together for group activities and catechesis, and family activities for home.

Pre-registration is now open until August 23 for the 2026-27 school year. Classes will be twice a month on Sundays from 9:00-10:30 am starting August 30. Additional dates are used for sacramental preparation for those receiving First Reconciliation, First Holy Communion, and Confirmation.

For more information, contact Katy Dalrymple at kdalrymple@holyangelsdayton.org.

Sacrament Preparation
Sacrament Preparation is held separately from PSR / Holy Angels School religious education. Parents attend the First Reconciliation/First Communion classes and retreat with their child. Confirmation candidates attend a retreat and complete 12 hours of service related to the Works of Mercy. Take-home assignments are given to both Sacrament prep groups to encourage family involvement and to strengthen the "domestic church."

The dates for the classes are: Sundays October 4, November 15, December 6, and January 24 from 9:00-10:30 am.

Sessions will be held in the Holy Angels cafeteria and music room.

Please mark your calendars and register through either PSR or Holy Angels Schools (links below).
