Our History

Church of the Holy Angels started in September 1901 with a small group of people who recognized the need for a Catholic church in South Park and the area near the National Cash Register Company to serve Catholics who lived nearby. Consequently, this parish was established by Archbishop William Elder on December 17, 1901 at its first location on Stewart St. The first Mass was celebrated on October 19, 1902 with pastor Fr. Martin Neville as presider. The parish moved to its current location in 1906 after receiving a donation of land from the Society of Mary (Marianist Brothers and Priests) where it continues to serve the South Park and Dayton community.
